first communion cake

This was a 12" marble cake with chocolate buttercream filling and iced in vanilla buttercream. I made the cross out of extra cake and piped scroll work on the cross and on the side of the cake.

mint, pink, and gold baby shower

This was a 10" chocolate cake with whipped ganache filling and an 8" vanilla cake with raspberry jam filling; all iced in mint colored vanilla buttercream. The dots and bow were made from fondant!

pig sty cake

This pinterest inspired cake was for my pig loving friend's birthday. I made the pigs out of gumpaste and let them dry out over night. It was yellow cake with chocolate icing and lined with kit kat candy bars. I poured chocolate ganache about a 1/4 inch high and let it set in the fridge for 20 minutes so it wasn't too runny. I placed the pigs in the "mud" and let it completely set over night. Happy Birthday Bekah!

  This was a 3 tiered wedding cake iced with vanilla buttercream. 

12" tier: vanilla cake/fresh strawberry buttercream filling, 

10" tier: vanilla cake/chocolate buttercream filling

8" tier: vanilla cake/white chocolate buttercream filling

I finished the cake by cascading pink gumpaste blossoms along the cake. 

baby boy's first birthday

For my cousin's 1st birthday, I made a 5 layer quarter sheet cake 

with chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream. The theme was cars, 

so I drew cars on the side of the cake with edible marker and

made fondant cars for the top. Happy Birthday Alex!
